RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Poodle - 05-03-2013 We know where the standard ones go, but what's the point of an after-market one? I don't imagine they can hold 1350bar of pressure, so pre-hp pump seems logical. Fuel will already be slightly heated by the lp pump and, as Steve said, cooler = denser. Was just wondering if it'd be worth it tbh, particularly if it's going to replace the standard item... RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Hdisw - 18-03-2013 maybe wednesday it will be ready to roll finally ! RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Seid' - 18-03-2013 go for it dude ![]() RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Hdisw - 20-03-2013 ![]() RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Piggy - 20-03-2013 do the hdi's have to be removed for turbo replacement?! I thought it was a rock n roll procedure like the xud? RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Hdisw - 22-03-2013 the turbo is placed behind/under the engine and it's hard to reach there .. in my case it was better to get the engine out because i had some other parts to be taken care of. Here's some: The 1756VK almost done and installed. ![]() Engine back to his place. ![]() Covered by dust ![]() ![]() The oil cooler isn't going to be installed there, it was just a test to see where's the best place to put it, that's not good indeed. lol ![]() Oil temperature and turbo pressure gauges. ![]() RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Birk - 25-06-2013 What power are you expecting ? RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Hdisw - 25-06-2013 170hp and 400nm i guess ![]() RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Midnightclub - 25-06-2013 Can't help but think that power is going to be wasted through those skinny 14s lol RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Hdisw - 25-06-2013 i know m8, i wanted to change it first, suspension and brakes aswell but this turbo shaite came along and ... for now it will get the H&R springs 40mm and when i have a chance i'll get the 195/55/R15 (i'm thinking something different from the usual cyclone, etc ...) and the upgrade to 283mm or 288mm. RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Poodle - 26-06-2013 Really glad to see this project is still going, making good progress too. The compressor outlet on the turbo looks like it points straight at the chassis rail, how are you routing the intercooler piping? RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Hdisw - 26-06-2013 Poodle, yep it's still going but taking too long. lol The compressor outlet was modified of course, i'm not sure how are they routing the piping .. I was going to see how things are going yesterday but i didn't had the chance, maybe today i'll pass by and take some photos if there's something new to show ... RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Poodle - 26-06-2013 Hahaha i know the feeling mate, mine's taken 3 years so far. ![]() Fair enough, i'd be interested to know how they've done it. Hope you manage to get more pictures soon, like this project a lot. RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Hdisw - 26-06-2013 And now i'm driving a skoda fabia 1.4 TDI estate 09' daily ... not the same feeling as the 306 .. lol the only one i have fun is with my partner 1.6 HDi 2012, of course, it's a PUG. ![]() But i'll take some photos with all the details i can get. Hug. RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Hdisw - 09-10-2013 Just to say that this estate isn't dead ! It's taking a while because i had some problems with the mechanic who was doing this, he wouldn't finish it, kept saying that he didn't had the time and bla bla bla ... So i decided to change it to another mechanic and i'm waiting for my "turn" now. RE: 306 Estate Edenpark - Scott - 09-10-2013 That's good to hear, I really like this project! |
