RE: New car time - declantg - 31-01-2013 Dibs on metal monkey fan controls RE: New car time - Jonny81191 - 31-01-2013 Is this the works car by any chance or have you really got boring? RE: New car time - Niall - 31-01-2013 6 is gone mate! I've gone all Eco friendly! RE: New car time - Jonny81191 - 31-01-2013 Yeah I know the '6 is gone, but really? Eco friendly? Sad times.. RE: New car time - Toms306 - 31-01-2013 Everyone should be thinking about thier carbon footprint!! Not that I give a f*ck, our parents ruined the earth, so we might as well aol drive v8s now. RE: New car time - declantg - 31-01-2013 Niall sell me that bit damnit xx RE: New car time - procta - 31-01-2013 (31-01-2013, 09:21 PM)Niall Wrote: 6 is gone mate! No cant afford it and now im working longer hours, i rarely get a chance to use it. It just sat there for 3 weeks before it sold because any driving i did was long distance so it made sense not to use 306 and use the work bus but now ive had to get rid of that, i couldnt afford two cars! Seriously though, been driving it tonight for a while. Dont know why i didnt buy a newer car sooner.....i am starting to see where tom is coming from now. RE: New car time - Pete - 31-01-2013 To be fair Kia's have moved on allot in the last few years! Trouble is people still have images of the early 90's Kia Pride (most ironic name ever lol) and the like. They'll shake off the image problem like Skoda did. RE: New car time - Ricky - 31-01-2013 It may handle like a '6, be just as quick as one and do epic mpg. But it will still look like you've borrowed the car from an elderly relative. Was just about to say, skoda had the same rep but now people are realising they are just a vw, they are selling really well! RE: New car time - Strikeforce - 31-01-2013 As quick as a 6 eh? Serious question btw, what are these packing? RE: New car time - Scott - 01-02-2013 About 130bph iirc RE: New car time - puglove - 01-02-2013 But when that turbo spools up it 999 bhp and still doing 150 mpg .......... Kia ftw RE: New car time - C.A.R. - 01-02-2013 Thought this was a wind-up at first, and that the KIA was just a company car... I can see the appeal of a new car but I don't find any 'new cars' appealing, if that makes sense. This is like you have aged 30 years in the space of 5 minutes. I also have my doubts that it handles as well as a GTi6, I would guess it's more relative to the fact the car has a much, much wider track and fatter tyres, whilst every component is brand new and has no wear on it yet... Also, do you not get that underlying feeling that it's not really 'your' car? New car time - Stephen - 01-02-2013 I think youl enjoy the newness and everything for a month or two and then you'll start to miss the awesomeness of a 306. That's what happened to me when my dturbo threw a rod and I got a Mondeo. I was all like this is great it's so comfy has all these options blah blah blah. But at the end of the day it's just bloody boring in comparison to a 306 RE: New car time - Niall - 02-02-2013 Tom will wank him self silly. 98mpg ftw. RE: New car time - Mattcheese31 - 02-02-2013 i'd still rather shit in my hands and clap . . . . . i still think this is a wind up . . . But seriously, thats not the long range mpg reader is it. RE: New car time - Jonny81191 - 02-02-2013 It is tom. I can vouch for it. RE: New car time - Niall - 02-02-2013 It genuinely is Tom. We got on the motorway and it just started to shoot right up! RE: New car time - Toms306 - 02-02-2013 Ok fair enough then...but I bet you don't get anywhere near that over a tankful. If you do I'll give up on what I was going for and get a f*cking kia instead! RE: New car time - Scott - 02-02-2013 It's actually a really nice car, I prefer the looks of the 306 but would be seriously tempted by one if I got offered a good deal. It is every part as fast as a 6 and handles well, though goes without saying a 6 would have it in the twisties. RE: New car time - Grant - 02-02-2013 Sitting in this bus now, its nice. Comfortable, no rattles, no clonks or bangs, smells of new car too! RE: New car time - Matt - 02-02-2013 306 miles bitch RE: New car time - Jonny81191 - 02-02-2013 So much win. Really like this car after my initial doubts. Gonna test drive one when I get home, seriously tempted to get one. RE: New car time - procta - 02-02-2013 (02-02-2013, 10:33 AM)Niall Wrote: christ niall, tom would have blew his load well hard over will he not! New car time - THE_Liam - 05-02-2013 I know this might not make sense, but a nice low miles XK8 can be had for 5 grand, and will probably still be worth about that in 5 years, and the Kia will probably be worth about the same at the most... I'd have been tempted to buy the Jag and spend the finance money on fuel and insurance, I bet after 5 years you'd be no worse off... How much was the Kia? Basically, I'm trying to justify an XK8 to myself |
