Should be easy enough to see broken joints, though I would just touch everything up! but use leaded solder not unleaded that you have to use in industry nowadays it's crap

Re: THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - THE_Liam - 26-01-2012

Thanks mate. It's pissing me off a bit, that's why I'm looking at a project car Smile

THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - Jonny b - 26-01-2012

Nothing seems to be built to last these days!! Not like back in the day ha ha

Re: THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - THE_Liam - 26-01-2012

Partly why I'm hopefully going '70s...

THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - Jonny b - 26-01-2012

f*ck me here we go again!!!

What is it this time?

Re: THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - THE_Liam - 26-01-2012

Possibly a V8 Holden...

Needs a resto, will be a big project Smile

THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - Jonny b - 26-01-2012

Ha ha a vauxhaul then!!

Re: THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - THE_Liam - 26-01-2012

No, a Holden Kingswood mate, from when they were unique to Oz. Not a Commodore though, they were just Senators/Omegas with Chevy small-blocks in 'em lol

THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - Jonny b - 26-01-2012

Ha ha just pulling your chain bud!!

Anything old with a petrol v8 is a win in my book, good luck

Re: THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - THE_Liam - 26-01-2012

I'll need it! Having a look on Sunday, it's been described as complete, running, but made of rot :o

Re: THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - declantg - 27-01-2012

Everywhere i see, flynn is causing sh*t, cant understand why anyone would take time and effort to cause aggravation.

First thing on my list is an FK exhaust, proper good apparently and only £150 for a cat-back Smile

THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - THE_Liam - 30-01-2012

Smacked the front bumper on a speedbump on my way home from work. This car is not getting lowered...

THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - Jonny b - 30-01-2012

Poof go over em slowly and properly!!! Now slam it ha ha

Re: THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - Curt - 30-01-2012

As above ^^. I've never caught my bumper on a speed bump... Subframe is a different story however. Diagonal FTW

Re: THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - HDIkyle - 30-01-2012

Theres a place in Cas that do automobile electronics but that would still mean car is not useable

THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - THE_Liam - 30-01-2012

I just can't be arsed with lowered cars anymore, I don't wanna go 3mph over speedbumps anymore! Plus, it'd ruin the sleeper-ness of it Smile

And Kyle, I've seen a couple of auto electricians in Leeds and they basically said well have a look but it's 50 quid an hour and they won't guarantee a fix...

I'm just gonna do it myself!

Re: THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - stevobeavo - 04-02-2012

Have you looked at swapping it for a second hand one. could do that, repair yourone yourself then swap back and sell the other one on?

I did mate, but on the Octavia the immobiliser is built into the clocks, so I'd have to get it re-coded for the car to start Sad

Turns out this thing is awesome in deep snow as well, as long as you turn off the crappy ASR. Even the ABS works well!

THE_Liam - Octavia VRS - Project Sleeper! - Jonny b - 05-02-2012

Always turn off all driver aids in the snow, woman up the road from me last year was trying to get up the hill with traction control on!! Watched her for a while laughing!! Told her to turn it off and she got up first time
