RE: The Astor....What's she going make - 7057sam - 10-06-2015 So had a great weekend with you crazy lot.Car performed amazingly thing I'm up to 5 trackdays on this engine witch cost me £200 ich great. Had alot of fun with Chris, sam,Piggy and Paul cheers guys. edited a lap sorry to take my annoying voice out of it ![]() https://youtu.be/Be5rEZMTIP4 RE: The Astor - Matt-Rallye - 11-06-2015 (02-06-2015, 06:07 AM)Piggy Wrote: wasnt Matts black rallye 165bhp at the wheels!? And his is high mileage, very little care for the engine! Are you looking for a massive I LOVE GAY PORN sticker on your car at pugfest? Cheeky bastard my engine is very well looked after! Mine rolled good figures and pulls like a train. You boys say what you like about hereford figures but Orta rolled a very low figure forhis rallye on the day which made him have the car looked at and now he said its a different animal as the lambda was buggered and the timing wasn't quite right. RE: The Astor - 7057sam - 08-09-2015 Bit update so car been good, driving everyday getting 27-28 mpg which isn't great but for what it is,Is ok. I had blown the decat again so Brough a second hand one ready to fit this weekend until this happend. Driving to work Monday morning(early for work as well) come off the A road down the slip and waiting at the round about to go to tesco. As pulled away looked in my mirror to see this interlink van steaming up behind me,next thing I got pushed across the road. Here pictures of damage Ad kia cee'd i got as a courtesy car which is actually pretty nice car. So pretty much looking at this being a write off and with me needing a car everyday to get to work I really dunno what I'm going to do.probably get a hdi and have this of the road for the winter. The Upside is the floor plan looks untouched the bit on the boot with the id plate on its bent obviously boot and bumper need replacing aswell as number plate and the panel in between the boot and bumper. RE: The Astor - Died Astor :( - procta - 08-09-2015 what a bastard that is! a second rear panel, boot lid and a bumper and a paint job, your will be back RE: The Astor - Died Astor :( - ozonehostile - 09-09-2015 Gutted for you man. Ive only just got my settlement from being rear ended in the coupe and that was over a month ago! Make the insurance assessor come to you though and not take the car away as the insurance company make it an absolute ball ache to get it delivered back to you once it's taken away. Hopefully repairable though ![]() RE: The Astor - Died Astor :( - lolsteve - 09-09-2015 Didn't like interlink before and now really despise them ![]() Get it on the road for next years track battles ![]() RE: The Astor - Died Astor :( - Piggy - 09-09-2015 Saw this on FB and feel gutted for you. Was so tidy. Fave astor here. Whats happening to 306oc cars!? :-0 RE: The Astor - Died Astor :( - 7057sam - 09-09-2015 Cheers guys,I'm going for a uneconomical repair as it wasn't my fault but dunno if ill get it. RE: The Astor - Died Astor :( - Orta - 10-09-2015 Dude I u just seen this. Gutted for u, make sure she doesn't go off to the scrapyard in the sky and get her fixed! RE: The Astor - Died Astor :( - adam b - 10-09-2015 [vulture] I'll have the wheels [/vulture] What a complete twatting shame you are considering an hdi. And the astor has been clouted. RE: The Astor - Died Astor :( - Matt - 10-09-2015 Absolute pisstake that this happened! Gutted for you, was looking so nice too! How's your back? Looks like a hard shunt! RE: The Astor - Died Astor :( - Toms306 - 13-09-2015 When did the demand for cyclones get that good? ![]() Any idea how much longer you've gotta wait to hear from the insurance? If you want a hand fixing or breaking at any point just say. ![]() RE: The Astor - Died Astor :( - 7057sam - 13-09-2015 (13-09-2015, 02:54 PM)Toms306 Wrote: When did the demand for cyclones get that good? Well they going to ring tommorrow as of Tuesday I leave the country for 10 days and guess it will all start after that. All need to do is have Somone come over and view the damage and then the decision is up to them. Id love to keep it and fix it but ive done alot of driving this week in the kia(and loved it) I dunno if I could go back to a 90's car. Never been one of these "just buy a new car people" but life is so much simpler,I can enjoy more without worrying about the car. But I really dunno I do miss the character the pug has and talking to people who actually know about cars. RE: The Astor - Died Astor :( - Piggy - 14-09-2015 Keep the pug for fun n buy a cheap comfort derv cruiser for work?! You'll regret losing it I'm sure! RE: The Astor - Died Astor :( - Matt - 14-09-2015 Don't buy a new car!! You'll definatley end up missing the bum twitchyness of a '6 RE: The Astor - Died Astor :( - Toms306 - 14-09-2015 Well if you decide not to keep it and it's cheap enough to buy back I could do with a new project. ![]() I must admit, I know exactly what you mean about new cars, I couldn't go back to a 306 daily now tbh! Comfort and refinement really are underestimated. RE: The Astor - Died Astor :( - Matt-Rallye - 14-09-2015 I must be broken then as i don't care what i drive daily aslong as it gets me to work without hassle ![]() As said above, what happened to your daily derv bashing focus? So the boot lid was creased I worse than we thought so just swapped it out with another, going get it sealed up and weather tight for the winter and spray it up in the winter or as long as I can deal with a 3/4 toned car : ![]() Well here's same photo of what carl did in a few hours, hopefully be done and ready to hit the road next of next week.
