Just a good idea for you guys which ive just had to do. Phone your banks and tell them your going abroad. Last time i went on holiday, my account was blocked when i tried using my card in one particular store. This time i phoned them and they took down the countries i travelled through and how long i was going for so my card would work.

When i went to see my bank and told them i was going to afghanistan, and said it might show up as me being in the uk, usa or afghan they looked well confused!
Deffiantly worth doing this one!

Just checked my sat nav and it doesnt have europe maps, thinking about buying the maps for it. Has anyone else got/not got europe maps?

Have a look at play.com for a new sat nav. With Tomtoms, its about 70 quid for new maps and i got my garmin with liftime updates half price at £80 from there so might be worth a upgrade!

I had the same idea and did that
Cant believe its so close now! I think ill be heading straight to dover. Keeps it simple lol.
I still need to sort out a spare wheel and get a rear pad retaining kit as mine have gone missing

Well Carl and i will be going to Dover via picking up passengers, the route for the other side is simple enough, and we can look at maps etc in campsites over there.
Food is all ready, well all the basics anyhow.
Martyn, see you tomorrow morning, I have that wheel for you. Can you make it before midday if possible?

I'm just bringing a road atlas, CBA with gaynav in Europe, it's easy enough to navigate from a road map anyway, I'm fairly used to it!
