Nice one mate, bet you feel properly chuffed?! I was hoping to do the same this weekend but still awaiting HG so can't really build much of the new engine up without it lol

Well done buddy!! Excellent news! Big Grin I'll give you a bell in a bit to find out more! Smile

Yeah I'm over the moon! It runs well and still burning but only tiny tiny amounts on accelerating.
Unfortunately the mot ran out on Friday so all I can do is drive it up and down the road (private road of course......no seriously!) haha
Cleaned the exhaust tip and for the first time since I've had the exhaust, it's just covered in moisture instead of splatters of oil!
Let it idle for about half hour, ran it up to temp for the fans to kick in and no worries so fingers crossed this is it.

Oh and my PAS pump has started making noises! Sad one thing after another haha!

Won't be at ace. Scott is very kindly lending me his spare lambda sensor as mine is f*cked thanks to the oil (just sits at 480mv instead of fluctuating like it should) so will bung that on and test it Tuesday! Can't wait Big Grin

Really quite interested to see the results when this goes on the dyno!

Won't be going on at fcs! I wanted it to but seeing as its a new engine i dont want to put it under any big pressures for a while.

Excellent news buddy.

What exhaust system are you running now? GTi6 Mani > Cat > mid/backbox?

Or are you running a decat?

Running a full long life 2.75" exhaust with sports cat but I highly doubt the cat works any more. He's said he will replace it when it's tested and proven faulty but if for what ever reason he doesn't replace it (and it goes through emissions in the state it's in now, I'm just going to get a pipe welded in!

Well as I'm sure you've all read, it's all over with this car! All my shiny bits will be moved to the new 6.

And how it sits now ready to be dragged onto the back of a lorry and be scrapped. Sad times Sad
