Amazing evening on track...

highlights and poo moments had to be coming in to a corner behind 3 cars. Two clio sports and a cerham. The two clios slammed on and split leaving the katerham facing the wrong way right infront of us! D: That closed the track for a bit.

Then apparently a car leaked water over the track and sent a subaru and a bmw spinning off the track and Dan ended up sliding on that as well I think!

Photos coming soon!

Thanks sam your heroics as a co driver keep me from a head on.
Was running red light on the petrol gauge for 30+ miles trying to find a petrol station not realizing they was one in the circuit Doh

So got they and had a mad rush getting signed in, sound tested, breifing, get crap out of the car and find a pit.so did the sigin lap late with the last group.had a few 'moments' did all good fun included getting complete side ways across the first hairpin.really love bomb hole and Hamilton s.

Overall, car performed epicly not a knock or bang from her.but a lot of squeling Smile
Track was dry not to warm no glaring sun.everybody on track so sensible bar 2 clio s and some truly radom kit car.

yep the rallye was insane. Shame the water boiled over!

RE: Sam's rallye based track project ! engine revealed ! - Tallguy_2 - 11-06-2013

Snetterton's a great track especially how it was, dad raced the 24hrs there on ten occasions, I've spent some amazing times there

How did you get on with the noise test? Did you have the jetex on?

RE: Sam's rallye based track project ! engine revealed ! - Eeyore - 11-06-2013

uploaded the photos onto my facebook now Big Grin

The jetex acadentily when the scrap yard with the xsi Doh

So I luckily found a blow in the exhaust Friday and got that fixed up it made it massively quiter.

I came out at 94 but I may have rev nearer 5k instead on 4.8 as was late for briefing

As far as the track its my local and have always loved watching car do round it did quite a lot with the rc cars the other side and as always been a ambitious to get out and drive it.from start to finish the evening was handled exactly bar a few mental/rapid clio's.we lost time thought red flags and all having to return to the pits, and some car dropped oil coursing some madnessDodgy

Me and sam did 3 or 4 outing out for about 20-25mins each time, evening time improving, getting better lines and just getting used to the fast paced nature of track life.
We did have a moment where I did have it completely sideways and few 'its going to go'moments.i now definitely appreciate rhe the beam rebuild new shocks and mounts we put into.

Overall a great day even passed a few cars and had a good duel with a 225 and mark 2 golf although im way more happier it did nt bang, nock, misfire.handled spot on the TA work amazingly Smile

No never used em bud! Heard good things though! The 1155's are supposed to be track use only the 1144's are road/track, they wear very well tbh

RE: Sam's rallye-snetterton trip pictures- - Anton - 14-06-2013

As Jonny said the 1144's are road use.

RE: Sam's rallye-snetterton trip pictures- - 7057sam - 15-06-2013

Thanks guys am mate may be giving me some yellow stuff pads on the cheap

But I may bite the bullet and get some 1144 as I've found them on ebay for £117 delivered doesn't seem to bad considering ds25000 are £140

Long term im looking to stiffen up the rear end with bigger arbs and torsion bars, solid mounts.

Haha zac im lucky at the moment I have about a 80 percent disposable wage I.e spunking it on the car lol

Although the charger kit cost me £2500 I got a decent loan for 3 years which works out at £78 a month so it more that Bearable.

This and a custom 3 inch exhaust is the last of my crazy spenting though....famous last words.

RE: Sam's rallye-boosting it before Pugfest - ozonehostile - 01-07-2013

Yeah im back living at home, living the dream lol so serious dollar saved every month .

Ah do tell is a type of supercharge turbo d madness?

Hopefully the exhaust will hold out for French csr but seriously doubt it as I've blown it then fixed it then blown it after snetterton.fixed it db'd at 94 so think if it blow before I get on a combe im in trouble Sad

On the upside I have monday and Tuesday next week to fit charger and weld exhaust, thinking of welding it up proper as it the stupid bloody flange connection which as corroded

Yeah thing most worry about is getting the f*ck off intercooler in and the cooler for it and the 16 row cooler for the engine and the slimline fans lol

Good job when I got the oil cooler they supplied me with miles of piping so get inventive mounting that.also the rear brake look like they on very thin ice been using the handbrake wayyyyy to much to stop the bloody brembo squel Sad:

RE: Sam's rallye-boosting it before Pugfest - ozonehostile - 02-07-2013

ive got the same issue lol, rad, bfo intercooler, two fans and oil cooler to fit in a phase 1 bumper
