power dropping - Niall - 16-12-2012 i know this is going to get some trolling from a certain ginger and his girlfriend who owns the broken ph2 but i had a weird issue today. Pulled out of a junction and decided to hammer it. Up to 7k in 1st and changed to 2nd, planted my foot again and for a few seconds it lost all power and the eml came on. after a few seconds, it picked up again and off it went along with the eml. got home, got peugeot planet on it and took it for a drive monitoring it. No sensors seem to be misreading. Its never done it before but it was like i had gone from 1st to 4th then 2nd. I know the fuel filter looks about as old as the car its self and i do have a new one in the boot but surely that would just cause a general loss of power and not bring the eml on? power dropping - vlj - 16-12-2012 Broken. Get an Audi. RE: power dropping - Niall - 16-12-2012 (16-12-2012, 08:40 PM)vlj Wrote: Broken. Get an Audi. and look like a lady garden? Id rather have a debilitating muscular disease and walk everywhere than drive a Audi! RE: power dropping - samass - 16-12-2012 Did it not throw any codes up? Could cause the eml to come on if rail pressure drops. Change the filter I say RE: power dropping - Niall - 16-12-2012 (16-12-2012, 08:43 PM)samass Wrote: Did it not throw any codes up? Change the filter I say nope no codes. 306s only log a code if its a permanent fault. if its intermittent, it will disappear as soon as its rectified. RE: power dropping - samass - 16-12-2012 Ah fair enough. Probably just a shit filter then, makes a surprising difference RE: power dropping - Niall - 16-12-2012 hmmm. fancy doing a filter on my car tomorrow whilst im at work? lol power dropping - vlj - 16-12-2012 Can you not do live data logging with these at all? I would have thought this would be a sensor issue tbh? So was your foot planted and the revs just held steady?
