Dimma estate. - Ben Jay - 05-02-2014

How hard could it be?

RE: Dimma estate. - sam - 05-02-2014

Build it and find out

Dimma estate. - Ben Jay - 05-02-2014

Hmmm what would I need? How hard are dimma panels to come by?

RE: Dimma estate. - 7057sam - 05-02-2014

Dimmadesign.com think it's about 2.5k a kit though

think they was a guy in essex on facebook trying to sell a replica kit for £220.

Obviously front would be the same then fun starts at the back lol

Dimma estate. - Ben Jay - 05-02-2014

Just a random idea I had when driving! Also trying to work out the rear. That would me a majorly custom job.

RE: Dimma estate. - ozonehostile - 05-02-2014

It would be made even harder by having rear doors as the arch extension usually starts just after the drivers door.

Guess it would look pretty cool if done properly, although I think a dimma sedan would be much more win

Dimma estate. - Ben Jay - 05-02-2014

Could widen the doors but not sure if that would look silly or not. Oz do you still have dum dums sedan?

Nah I crashed it ages ago lmao

Dimma estate. - Ben Jay - 05-02-2014

Ah could have tried to see if they did deals on buying more panels! Haha

RE: Dimma estate. - Slam Wagon - 05-02-2014

Convert a sedan to 2 door, and then dimma it, that would be win.

Yeh thats probably the best thing to do. Definitely not looking like a 309 Tongue

RE: Dimma estate. - Pete - 05-02-2014

A dimma'd 3door'd saloon had been done before I'm sure, not seen anything of it for ages though

lmao

Jeez Ben, get with the times! Wink

As said, I can imagine a dimma estate being a bit odd looking due to the rear doors, but a dimma sedan would be epic win in my books! Big Grin

RE: Dimma estate. - Slam Wagon - 05-02-2014

With a dimma estate it would be figuring out where to start pulling it out from and keeping shape and lines right.

3 door estate then? Haha

RE: Dimma estate. - Slam Wagon - 05-02-2014

Would look long, especially if you made it a single rear window. Would look very too hearsey.

Like that 306 shooting break concept car. Definitely looked odd as a 3dr

RE: Dimma estate. - martyn92 - 05-02-2014

Apart from that yellow thing, I really like that!!

RE: Dimma estate. - Eeyore - 05-02-2014

Yeh that white one looks amazing.

RE: Dimma estate. - Ben Jay - 06-02-2014

there must be a way of making an estate wide body. the only way i can think is to go the pellow route and just stick huge wheel arch extensions on it.

have found this as inspiration though but i really dont like the wheel arch covering the rear door.

RE: Dimma estate. - 7057sam - 06-02-2014

In white the sedan is pure porn....

RE: Dimma estate. - Slam Wagon - 06-02-2014

RE: Dimma estate. - Lolben91 - 06-02-2014

That sedan looks to be the only non hatchback dimma about. Though im not keen on the exhaust its the only time i think ill ever say M3 mirrors look good on a car.
Just wonder what drove the owner to paint it yellow and add that roof spoiler :\
That is an impreza spoiler right? quite tempted by one for my sedan now

Maybe turning an estate into a 3 door, using the sides and rear windows of a 3 door car and blanking the estate rear windows to make a dimma like van might work? Can definitely see it may end up looking like a hearse if there was one large window
