Soo.. I've bought my first house - Seb_Ryan - 24-01-2014 As title, been going on for about 2 months now - but should be moving in on the 31st unless there's hold ups etc.. £350 a month for mortgage over 30 years so will paid off when I'm 53 which isn't too bad to be honest. I would post pics but I'm a lazy bugger and on my phone so ill just link the ad. http://www.hathways.co.uk/propertydet.asp?Id=RSTN86&Page=15&branch=&propind=S&Cat=&country=&Location=&town=&area=&MinPrice=&MaxPrice=&MinBeds=&BedsEqual=&sleeps=&PropType=&Furn=&FA=&O=Price&Dir=ASC&LetType=&searchbymap=&locations=&newhomes=&SS=&fromdate=&todate=&minbudget=&maxbudget= RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - martyn92 - 24-01-2014 That is awesome RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - mcvite - 24-01-2014 Congratulations in getting on the property ladder, well done RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - lolsteve - 24-01-2014 Fantastic looking place, cant wait to get something like this myself. 306oc house warming party? RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - Seb_Ryan - 24-01-2014 If anyones local to cwmbran then yeah lol, not many people down here though. Gotta be honest did get lucky, viewed it the day after the advert and we had it straight away after viewing 7 other places, they had 26 calls for viewings after us aswell RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - Dum-Dum - 24-01-2014 Can tell your northern, £103k for a 3 bed house!!!!! My one bed cost about 15k more Re: RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - Dum-Dum - 24-01-2014 Ah south wales, somewhere else nobody wants to live lol. Joking, great to see you get on the ladder, house prices are on the up again so it's a great investment, one across the road from me the same as mine just sold for over £150k. If I could sell mine for that it would be a £20k + profit in under a year. RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - Seb_Ryan - 24-01-2014 Tbh this house is near enough top dollar for that area.. but um happy due to it being in good nick etc.. There was 1 behind it go for 70k but that had a smaller garden and needed full refurb RE: Soo.. I'd have moved to croesy personally, Fairwater High is a bit dodge. Nice house in OK area though, they really are spacious on the inside. Like Dum-Dum I live in a tiny "close to london" box that is much smaller and costs far more RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - Lwilliams - 24-01-2014 Nice mate.... You don't live to far away from me I live in abertillery... looking to get on the ladder in the next year or 2 also RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - Chris_90 - 24-01-2014 Wish me and my fiance could afford deposit cos we're paying £450 a month for a 2 bed renting, Well done for getting on the ladder tho bestthing you can do when your young, once you start renting your always gonna struggle to save up a deposit to buy a house RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - Eeyore - 24-01-2014 My rent is 550 a month for my single room. Bloody London. Well done for getting a place though. Mortgage on that seems very reasonable. I really want a garage with my house. Ideally it would be a double garage with a few rooms attached instead of a house with a garage! RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - C.A.R. - 24-01-2014 Nice! £100k around here might get you a 1-bed flat in an un-desireable area Houses start at £160k. RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - THE_Liam - 24-01-2014 Congratulations mate, nothing like owning your own bricks and mortar! I've owned mine about 2 and a half years, bought it off the council for 45k, 2 bed semi in Leeds, half decent area backing on to woodland. Got a 15 year mortgage at £320 per month, already paid off 1/6th of it RE: Soo.. (24-01-2014, 08:55 AM)C.A.R. Wrote: Nice! So move somewhere cheaper. Daunting at first, but you get a better quality of life because you don't have to put every single penny towards paying for the house. You only have to go as far as Nottingham to really notice the price drop. RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - powerandtorque - 24-01-2014 Looks really nice for a first house and like others have said, seems very reasonably priced compared to what a similar property would cost in other parts of the country - to give you an idea, something similar to that would be £250k odd here and I'm only 75 miles odd from you RE: Soo.. If can find a place cheaper for same as we have now would move tomorrow, think we have done ok with this lived here 2 years with out rent going up, didn't have to pay bond, garden, drive way and shed (all the important bits for me) Re: Soo.. I've bought my first house - kentiiboii - 24-01-2014 I'd love to buy my mum's house. We'd get it mega cheap as well 3 bedroom council house with mahoosive garden and 2 car drive on a decent street. We've been in here for 20 years. But unfortunately I cannot afford to and we are moving out of here by the end of the year. RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - THE_Liam - 24-01-2014 You know you don't need a deposit right Kent? RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - jammapic - 24-01-2014 We bought our 3 bed, 3 story house with driveway, garden etc up on Saddleworth Moor for £150k last year and I reckon we've already made about £5k on it.... Managed to put about 80k down on it so our mortgage is only about £380 a month and will be paid off before I retire (early!!). Similar sized house etc round here would be £600+ a month in rent..... Property ladder is the way forward! Soo.. I've bought my first house - Dum-Dum - 24-01-2014 You all make me realise I need to move somewhere bigger and / or further north ASAP to make the most of the current house prices before they boom again. Cracking Deal there Liam, Depresses me that I pay £500 rent PCM for a small terraced cottage. Once the weddings out of the way I need to pull my finger out and get a morgage deposit together.. I've bought my first house - Pete - 24-01-2014 Near enough mate, about 20 minutes if I cut over tops I live in holywell green.. Nice and semi rural so it appeals to my inner bumpkin/farmer lol RE: Soo.. I've bought my first house - THE_Liam - 24-01-2014 I love it out there, proper pubs, coal fires, moors, but only 30 minutes up the M62 from my work. Re: RE: Soo..
