Story so far, I've obtained an engine. Some Tube for a frame and various other bits.

Clutch is easily enough controllable with a cable, likewise with the throttle, however changing gears with a pedal, need to have a hard think about up down changing.

Clutch and throttle will be pedal.

Gearstick will still be the left hand. but just up/down, or forward/back in this case lol

Forward = down shift
Back = Upshift.

For now my main goal is to keep it under 450kg
I've got a check list of what is needed for it to not fail..

had a hard enuff job finding out if i could actually ride this thing on a Full UK bike licence. Any engine size.. must be under 450kg, 3 wheels. Nospeak

Regulations are strict, but there's no reason that won't pass MSVA.

Also, as for the sequential thing, that would be easy with a few bell cranks and levers since you'd have space to do it.

there's a guy in the netherlands that put a TUD5 into a motorbike Tongue

I Love bikes, and keeping it up/down on gears will make it so i love the trike more lol

I've seen a manual box turned into a sequential box, but involves electronics, solenoids etc.

Basically a control box to move in a H pattern, but with only up and down shifts, looks a bit complex.

Either that, or finding a DSG Gearbox and adapting it to fit on a 306... but that would be paddles on the steering wheel rather than a stick shifter.

But I imagine that DSG Boxes carry a hefty price tag.

This part is just for fun.. Might not be on the build..

But I may try and mount the gearbox at the front. with the engine backwards? Is this possible!? Huh

The gearbox doesn't even need to be attached to the engine. the the shafts need to be connected Itwasntme

I'd be KEEPING the XUD clutch, taking the clutch off the motorbike gearbox and attaching a straight cog/gear to the clutch input shaft

you can get shift kits too for some gearboxes. Tongue

I've got a fj1200, runs at 130bhp on the crank / 95 at the wheel / no turbo @ 80ft/lb ..
bottom ends/boxes are bulletproof

Stock is about 100ft/lb on a standard 1.9 Xud DT?? (feel free to correct)

I've seen these FJ boxes running 30+ psi of boost from a turbo on a drag bike (not sure what that adds in torque?)

Only one way to find out Itwasntme

I think stock torque is 145 ft/lbs could be wrong though..
