It's it a FDM car? Wasn't aware we had any single mirror models in the UK! Bodywork looks mint mate, must be worth a couple of quid. RE: The 205 milkfloat - ginge191 - 15-08-2013 Yes Stu, you have much to learn young one. It's someting the rest of europe never got round to doing; weight saving by removing a mirror ![]() RE: The 205 milkfloat - Dum-Dum - 15-08-2013 (15-08-2013, 04:09 PM)ginge191 Wrote: Yes Stu, you have much to learn young one. It's someting the rest of europe never got round to doing; weight saving by removing a mirror Surely a wing mirror weighs more than the interior mirror so its benefit would be aerodynamic? RE: The 205 milkfloat - Norledge - 15-08-2013 My Dad's old nova GTE only had one mirror. Found it affected his aerodynamics under hard cornering and he was losing grip on that side. Well worth fitting a replacement imo. RE: The 205 milkfloat - the milkman - 15-08-2013 so to keep you lot happy ive finally gone on the laptop to upload some pictures. before all the comments i do know its a shed but its my shed ![]() i'll try and upload them in the order of how i got it the other day. ![]() ![]() ![]() nothing special just a standard xud7 205 (apart from exhaust) so decided to strip her out at the rear to see what hidden problems there was and wouldnt you know it i found this just behind the passenger rear interior panel ![]() ![]() ![]() and not much been done just a bit of a tidy up untill it decided today that it wanted to shit the contents of its cooling system after moving it 4-6 yards. guess it didnt wanna be inspected for more rust today ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() oh also i think im due a good engine rebuild as im seeing a fair amount of white smoke........ p.s listen carefully you can hear the cooling doing a runner from the engine. comments and criticism welcome ![]() RE: The 205 milkfloat - ginge191 - 15-08-2013 Sounds absoloutely fine! no way near as some of the startups i have as a point of comparison. Drop an XUD9, stiffen her up, you'll love it! get on it! RE: The 205 milkfloat - silverzx - 15-08-2013 Clones + 40mm. RE: The 205 milkfloat - kernow_joe - 15-08-2013 That rust is nothing! Mines got a lot more 2-3 big holes under the seats ![]() RE: The 205 milkfloat - the milkman - 15-08-2013 Well my logic is an xud9 is only .1 more is there really much point in going through the hassle of changing? And also I have some 50mm springs coming next week would do with some bettet dampers though RE: The 205 milkfloat - Dum-Dum - 15-08-2013 I know you sat shed but i think it might be more of a hen house with all that straw under the bonnet lol How you getting on with insuring it? RE: The 205 milkfloat - c.gerrard - 15-08-2013 I bet Stephen is laughing all the way to the bank!! Mate, you've been had ![]() Glad you've finally got your hands on it, its seems like its been forever ![]() One question, why is your project called milkfloat? RE: The 205 milkfloat - the milkman - 15-08-2013 Well plans are insure her when its all welded rust free abd not leaking all over the drive. And as of the straw ect its been sat under a tree at stes so all just gathered everywhere really lol and carl for 200 quid I cant really complain dont see many 205 black 3doors about ![]() |
