test fit new wheels. - kingy - 04-07-2013 finaly got them and couldnt wait to get them on. massive thanks to tom for being a top fella and jamie for a bit of advice. and yes ive got a pair of bolloks and flared the arches to to get em in. not perfect but not a bad job i think. just need to polish the lips and tidy them up and away we go. still need to do the other side but you get the idea. RE: test fit new wheels. - rd070707 - 04-07-2013 guess those arches will need paint soon lol. looks awesome though RE: test fit new wheels. - kingy - 04-07-2013 (04-07-2013, 08:34 PM)rd070707 Wrote: guess those arches will need paint soon lol. looks awesome though thanks. and yeah its having a full respray next year so not really that bothered. All it needs now is smoothed doors before the re spray. Ps if you want spare centres to mess around with I have two sets. RE: test fit new wheels. - kingy - 04-07-2013 (04-07-2013, 09:00 PM)Pompey306mark Wrote: Looks great. I had to flare mine. RE: test fit new wheels. - samass - 04-07-2013 Looks good, but, I preferred the other wheels tbh, borbets are a bit boring now imo. But if you're happy, then drash on RE: test fit new wheels. - kingy - 04-07-2013 (04-07-2013, 09:04 PM)samass Wrote: Looks good, but, I preferred the other wheels tbh, borbets are a bit boring now imo. im old school mate. when i started this car it was always gonna end up with borbets on. RE: test fit new wheels. - Pompey306mark - 04-07-2013 Rip them out and then underseal them. Re: test fit new wheels. - kentiiboii - 04-07-2013 They look good dude. But I think they need to be gold. RE: test fit new wheels. - cwspellowe - 04-07-2013 It's not that they look bad or anything, Borbets have always been popular, but they're so overplayed now it just looks like any other 306 on Borbets. It's different if we're talking Team Dynamics or something as they're functional. But as a "style" wheel Borbets have become very "meh" to me. I can think of about 6 306's that have had them over the last 12 months... RE: test fit new wheels. - Seid' - 04-07-2013 16x7.5? 165/40 ou 165/45 and should be nice! And more low off course RE: test fit new wheels. - kingy - 04-07-2013 (04-07-2013, 09:43 PM)cwspellowe Wrote: It's not that they look bad or anything, Borbets have always been popular, but they're so overplayed now it just looks like any other 306 on Borbets. yeah i know its been done millions of times but its what i wanted to do from the start. if i kept the old wheels on then i would have never have attempted doing the arches myself but its a case of having to to get them in. now ive got the bug to smash it and mash it to get what you want and stop pussying about. plus to get these in pug fittment is rare so i had to have em. RE: test fit new wheels. - sam - 04-07-2013 Suits it really well dude, needs to be a tad lower RE: test fit new wheels. - kingy - 04-07-2013 (04-07-2013, 10:13 PM)sam Wrote: Suits it really well dude, needs to be a tad lower Already 60mm on the front and even lower on the back. Front scrapes on everything and I carnt carry any passengers so carnt see how I can get lower with these wheels.
