Thread: Head gasket and head cleaning?
Post: RE: Head gasket and head cleaning?
I wouldn't say plenty of room personally and as the subframe has to come out for access, all thats left holding the engine in is the gearbox mount in the end. I know how I'd do it if I had to do it ag... |

Thread: Crank gear setting point

According to autodata you use a setting tool in the gap on the left hand side of the keyway. This allows for some movement of the pulley when tightening the belt. The sprocket is then locked in place ... |

Post: RE: Haynes error - HDi Headbolt torque error
Should it be just 220, or 2 x 110?
There seems to be a lot of confusion on this last point.
My haynes says 20nm, 60nm 220 degrees. |

Thread: Hdi Engine change
Post: RE: Hdi Engine change
I've heard you can drop the engine out the bottom attached to the subframe, the struts come out with it as well.
Obviously you'll need to get the car up in the air to do it this way. |

I've taken the head off, the people that skimmed the head removed the injectors slightly and I removed the pipe that connects to the fuel rail as I left that attached to the head. |

Hi all,
Haynes says to replace the high pressure Fuel pipes if they are slackened or removed. Is this really necessary? |
