Thats the difference between being a man and a boy. Tongue

It isn't the same as tuning a turbo diesel mate

Of course!

But it's been running fine up until now so don't doubt the boost/fuel it's set at.

Flame Red S14 Zenki - devils_fuel - 23-11-2013

Trent take it all back to std and see what it runs like, then do mods step by step. Someone may have fudged a mod. Personally i'd do that or your'll be saying bye to your con rods prematurely Sad

RE: Flame Red S14 Zenki - Midnightclub - 24-11-2013

I can't see the stock ecu map being very happy with 5 psi over stock, on stock fueling mate

Flame Red S14 Zenki - silverzx - 24-11-2013

The cars misfiring on idle now too.

Definitely isn't load dependant. Noise coming from the exhaust manifold area too so might be turbo related.

Isn't boosting very well either and there is a bit of oil dropping front the turbo outlet>silicone joiner which probably isn't a good thing.

Wouldn't be the end of the world if it was the turbo, excuse for top mounted GT2871R?

Or another standard T28 more likely.. Tongue

Um yes!!

Friend of mine has a GT35R and the thing is pretty massive!

Flame Red S14 Zenki - silverzx - 24-11-2013

I really shouldn't be spending excessive money on this.. There's many other things it could benefit from first. Like a H-Dev stage 1a or 2 chip.

RE: Flame Red S14 Zenki - Tom - 24-11-2013

Might aswell do it properly... Big blower, then supporting mods...

Thats right isnt it?

RE: Flame Red S14 Zenki - silverzx - 25-11-2013

Mmm, like I said, would rather avoid burning more money into the money pit.

It's plenty fast enough, just needs to be reliable now..

They are indeed videos, tapafail problem then!

RE: Flame Red S14 Zenki - silverzx - 25-11-2013

Works on my PC.

Flame Red S14 Zenki - devils_fuel - 25-11-2013

Still showing as pics on tapafail..Sad

Is it missing and popping back the through the exhaust on tickover when warm? Std induction and exhaust Trent? (I'm too lazy to check)

Aftermarket exhaust, aftermarket (Apexi) induction.

That should make no difference.

Had rear tyres swapped over for some part worn a today (thanks Stu).

Running 195/50/16 instead of 205/55/16 on the rear now.

Here's one of the old tyres:

Also worth noting its been running sweet *touch wood* for over a fortnight now.

Also been using Tesco 99 which might of had a part to play in it running nicer.

RE: Flame Red S14 Zenki - Tom - 12-03-2014

Got some camber on the back there bey?

If I do it's not intentially.

The coilovers seemed to add a fair bit of camber when I fitted them.

Flame Red S14 Zenki - Jonny b - 13-03-2014

Surely the induction kit should be mapped in?? Or do these self teach?

RE: Flame Red S14 Zenki - silverzx - 13-03-2014

They have some self learning but not loads!

It needs a H-Dev chip.

RE: Flame Red S14 Zenki - C.A.R. - 14-03-2014

Has it had the wheel alignment checked since you put the coilovers on? Worth doing for £40 as it could end up costing you in tyres if something is out of bonk.

Loving the car btw.

Wheel alignment!? Hah!

No she hasn't had anything of the such!

I'm going to get some hubcentric spacers for it off eBay later, get those standard 16's spaced out into the arches a bit!

Just not sure whether to go 10, 20, 30mm etc. Will get a tape and see what the gap is..

Also tyres are not an issue, get part worns fitted for free at work (they're good to me)!

It would appear so.

Think it does about 20mpg?

Flame Red S14 Zenki - devils_fuel - 21-04-2014

RE: Flame Red S14 Zenki - silverzx - 21-04-2014
